A Legacy Carved in Stone

Built in 1766, Heritage Hotel Kaštelet stands as a testament to history and architectural excellence. Originally the summer retreat of the noble Don Klement Grubišić, it has hosted numerous 18th-century luminaries. Celebrated travel writer Alberto Fortis once likened its splendor to that of Italian estates. It is also famed for hosting the earliest known discussions on the ancient Croatian Glagolitic script.

Constructed from expertly carved stone, the hotel forms a closed quadrangle with a central atrium, home to a historic well. The Grubišić family's coat of arms and the year of construction are proudly displayed on the façade.
